Chennai–Thiruvallur High Road
Chennai–Thiruvallur High Road (CTH Road), formerly known as Madras–Thiruvallur High Road (or MTH Road), is one of the chief routes connecting the northwestern suburbs of Chennai, India. Starting from Padi Junction, the road connects the neighbourhoods of Padi, Ambattur, Thirumullaivoyil, Avadi, Pattabiram, Thirunindravur, and Thiruvallur. It is one of the four national highways that radiates out of Chennai city and is part of National Highway 205. The road, however, is narrow with a width of 8 to 10 metres as its widest stretches. Over 100,000 passenger car units use the road every day. Tallest Building on the stretch Tidel Park in Avadi with 21 floors would be the tallest building in CTH road. Padi Junction
The Padi Lucas Junction is the intersection of NH 205 ( Madras-Tiruvallur High Road) and Inner Ring Road in the city of Chennai and is one of the most important junctions in the city. It is located in Anna Nagar north of Koyambedu Junction. An elevated rotary has been constructed at this junction as part of the NHDP by NHAI to ease the traffic congestion. It was built at a cost of 1,300 million and was opened for traffic on 20 February 2009. Grade separator The junction is used by hundreds of heavy vehicles and the road has a traffic density of about 200,000 passenger car units daily. As of 2014, more than 70,000 vehicles use the Padi flyover every day. To ease the congestion, the NHAI has constructed an elevated four-lane rotary at the junction. Padi () is a locality and neighbourhood in the city of Chennai, India. It was named after Nayanmars, Especially Sundarar, (Tamil saints) came to Padi and sang songs in the Lord Shiva Temple (Tiruvalleeswarar Temple). Thiruvallur
Tiruvallur is a Grade I municipality and a fast developing city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on the banks of Coovum river about from downtown Chennai (Madras) and just 5 km from megacity border, in the western part of the Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA). It is the administrative headquarters of Tiruvallur district. The city is known for the Veera Raghavar temple, one of the 108 sacred shrines of Vaishnavites. Avadi () is a suburb of Chennai within Chennai Metropolitan Area limit, located in the Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is a municipal corporation west of Chennai, about from Chennai Central Railway Station. It is surrounded by major defence establishments and is home to various universities and engineering colleges. The city is served by Avadi Railway Station of the Chennai Suburban Railway. Pattabiram (), which is pronounced as 'Pattaabhiraam', is a locality in Avadi and neighbourhood situated on the western part of Chennai (formerly known as Madras), Tamil Nadu, in India. The suburb, which falls under Avadi Municipal Corporation, is about 25 km from the Chennai Central railway station.
