Cheng Lianyuan
Cheng Lianyuan (; born December 1961) is a Chinese politician, and current Communist Party Secretary of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province. Born in Beijing, Cheng graduated with a degree in engineering at the Beijing University of Technology. He began work as a mechanical factory worker, he then worked in a series of management roles at different companies in the capital. He entered the municipal government to head up the department of Industrial Advancement. Then he became district governor of Chaoyang District, Beijing Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and ..., then in July 2012 he was named Chaoyang District party chief. Cheng (surname)
Cheng can be a transcription of one of several Chinese surnames. Kunming
Kunming (; ), also known as Yunnan-Fu, is the capital and largest city of Yunnan province, China. It is the political, economic, communications and cultural centre of the province as well as the seat of the provincial government. The headquarters of many of Yunnan's large businesses are in Kunming. It was important during World War II as a Chinese military center, American air base, and transport terminus for the Burma Road. Chaoyang District, Beijing
Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest. Gao Jinsong
Gao Jinsong (; born August 1963) is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in Southwest China's Yunnan province. He was investigated by the Communist Party of China's anti-graft agency in April 2015. Previously he served as the Communist Party Secretary of Kunming.
