Chen () () is a common Chinese-language surname and one of the most common surnames in Asia. It is the most common surname in Taiwan (2010) and Singapore (2000). Chen is also the most common family name in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Fujian, Macau, and Hong Kong. It is the most common surname in Xiamen, the ancestral hometown of many overseas Hoklo. Taiwan Statebuilding Party
The Taiwan Statebuilding Party (TSP; zh, t=台灣基進, p=Táiwān Jījìn, poj=Tâi-oân Ki-chìn) is a political party in Taiwan. The party was established in 2016 as Taiwan Radical Wings. The party is considered a close ally of the Democratic Progressive Party. History As of 2018, the chairperson was Chen Yi-chi. In the 2020 legislative elections in Taiwan, the party won one seat, with Chen Po-wei becoming its first member of the Legislative Yuan. In October 2021, Chen became the first member of the Legislative Yuan to be successfully recalled, ending his term less than two years into office. Votes for Chen's recall numbered 77,899, against 73,433 opposing his recall. Votes supporting the recall topped 25% of the eligible electorate (73,744), with 51.72 percent voter turnout. Mackay Memorial Hospital
Mackay Memorial Hospital (), established on 26 December 1912, is one of the largest medical centers in Taiwan. It is a private Christian hospital in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan, mostly associated with George Leslie Mackay, the first modern missionary to northern Taiwan. The hospital is deeply rooted in the Presbyterian tradition and under the spiritual guidance of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. History The original Mackay Hospital — named Mackay Clinic — was built by Mackay in Tamsui in 1880 and named to commemorate George Leslie Mackay, whose widow donated the funds. Puzi (Hokkien POJ: ''Phò-chú'') is a county-administered city in Chiayi County, Taiwan. The Chiayi County Council is located in Puzi. History The settlement was formerly called ''Pho-a-kha'' () in Hokkien. In 1920, during Japanese rule, it was renamed and governed under Tōseki District, Tainan Prefecture. Chiayi County (Mandarin pinyin: ''jiā yì xiàn''; Hokkien POJ: ''Ka-gī-koān'') is a county in southwestern Taiwan surrounding but not including Chiayi City. It is the sixth largest county in Taiwan. Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue.
