''Le Chemin'' ("The Way") is a 2003 album recorded by French pop-rock act Kyo. It was released on January 13, 2003, and achieved huge success in France and Belgium (Wallonia), where it was respectively #2 and #1. This album, entirely composed by the band, remains to date its most successful one. There is also an edition including a DVD. It stayed on the charts for 65 weeks in Belgium, 98 weeks in France and 79 weeks in Switzerland. "Le Chemin" is a 2002 song recorded by French band Kyo in duet with Dutch pop singer Sita. It was the first single from the album '' Le Chemin'' on which it appears as the first track, and was later notably included on Kyo's 2004 compilation ''Best of'' and on ''NRJ Music Awards 2003''. Written and composed by Kyo, the single was released in November 2002 and achieved some success. Critical reception The song achieved success in France, where it reached number 12 on 4 January 2003 and totaled 27 weeks on the chart (top 100). It peaked at number four on 15 February 2003 on the Ultratop 50 (Belgian Walloon chart) and remained for 22 weeks in the top 40, five of them in the top ten. Jean-Yves Chemin (born 23 April 1959 in Rouen) is a French mathematician, specializing in nonlinear partial differential equations. Education and career Chemin studied from 1979 at the École normale supérieure de Cachan (now named the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay) with licentiate in 1980 and ''agrégation'' in 1982. At Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) he graduated in 1983 with Diplôme d'études approfondies (DEA) and in 1986 with doctorate in mathematics.
