"Le Chemin" is a 2002 song recorded by French band Kyo in duet with Dutch pop singer Sita. It was the first single from the album '' Le Chemin'' on which it appears as the first track, and was later notably included on Kyo's 2004 compilation ''Best of'' and on ''NRJ Music Awards 2003''. Written and composed by Kyo, the single was released in November 2002 and achieved some success. Critical reception The song achieved success in France, where it reached number 12 on 4 January 2003 and totaled 27 weeks on the chart (top 100). It peaked at number four on 15 February 2003 on the Ultratop 50 (Belgian Walloon chart) and remained for 22 weeks in the top 40, five of them in the top ten. In Switzerland, it hit a mixed success, reaching number 14 for two weeks and totalling 24 weeks in the top 100. Kyo (band)
Kyo is a French rock band with lead by Benoît Poher. The band was active from 1997 to 2005 with three albums ''Kyo'' (2000), '' Le Chemin'' (2003) and ''300 Lésions'' (2004) and a string of singles. It announced a hiatus in 2005 without a definite break-up. In 2006, Kyo was involved in launching " L'Or de nos vies" written by Kyo and its lead singer Benoît Poher for the Fighting AIDS charity in 2006. Kyo had a comeback in 2013 with the album ''L'équilibre''. Sita (singer)
Sita Maria Vermeulen (born 8 June 1980), known by the mononym Sita, is a Dutch pop singer, actress and tv personality. She rose to fame in the early 2000s as part of the pop group K-otic. After leaving the band in 2001, she had a brief solo career before turning to television, where she was featured primarily on children's television and was a candidate on '' Sterren Dansen Op Het IJs'', the Dutch adaption of '' Dancing on Ice'' as well as the Dutch version of '' Dancing With The Stars''. Since 2009, she has been hosting the Dutch Disney Channel. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. An NRJ Music Award (commonly abbreviated as an NMA) is an award presented by the French radio station NRJ to honor the best in the French and worldwide music industry. The awards ceremony, created in 2000 by NRJ in partnership with the television network TF1, traditionally took place every year in mid-January at Cannes (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France) as the opening of MIDEM (''Marché international de l'édition musicale'').
