Drug Church
Drug Church is an American post-hardcore band from Albany, New York, United States. The band has released four albums, as well as several EPs. History Drug Church started as a side project for singer Patrick Kindlon of Self Defense Family. After having released a three-song demo online in 2011, the band got signed by No Sleep Records by the beginning of 2012. Drug Church then signed to Pure Noise Records in 2018 who released their album, "Cheer". The band's fourth album "Hygiene" was announced on November 10, 2021 with the release of the singles "Miles of Fun" and "Detective Lieutenant", and was released on March 11, 2022 through Pure Noise Records. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. It was initially inspired by post-punk and noise rock. Like post-punk, the term has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Post-hardcore began in the 1980s with bands like Hüsker Dü and Minutemen (band), Minutemen. Hardcore Punk
Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Pure Noise Records
Pure Noise Records is an American punk rock record label based in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded by Jake Round in 2009 while he was an editor at ''AMP''; the previous fall, friends of his in the band No Bragging Rights told him they were looking for a new label, and Round expressed interest in releasing the album himself. Prior to this Round had a short stint as an intern at Fat Wreck Chords. While the label began as a home operation, and had only put out five albums by the end of 2010, by 2014 some of the label's roster were main-stage acts at Warped Tour, and others had sold nearly 50,000 copies of their albums. Tawny (Drug Church EP)
''Tawny'' is an extended play released by American post-hardcore band, Drug Church. The band's fifth overall EP, it was released on June 25, 2021 through Pure Noise Records. The EP, featuring the band's 2020 single, "Bliss Out" was intended by the band to be a holdover release between the release of their third studio album, ''Cheer'', which came out in 2018, and at the time, their forthcoming fourth studio album, ''Hygiene'', which was released the following year. Background and promotion The songs for the EP were written and recorded throughout 2019 and 2020, with the first single, "Bliss Out", being recorded in summer 2019. In summer 2020, the rest of the album was recorded. Two of the four tracks on the EP were released as singles. The first single, "Bliss Out" was released on January 21, 2020. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry.
