Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Errol Thompson (ice Hockey)
Loran Errol Thompson (born May 28, 1950) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey winger who played most of his NHL career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was selected 2nd (22nd overall) by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1970 Amateur Draft. Thompson is also a former captain of the Detroit Red Wings. Junior and senior leagues Thompson started turning heads at a young age while playing for the Halifax Jr. Canadians of the NSJHL. In the 1967–68 season, he scored 81 points in only 45 games, cementing him as a legitimate scoring winger. However, in 1969 Thompson was still an undiscovered talent playing in P.E.I.'s NBSHL senior league on the Charlottetown Royals for $15 a game when he was spotted by legendary Leaf goalie-turned-scout Johnny Bower. Wes Trainor
Thomas Weston "Bucko" Trainor (September 11, 1922 – November 21, 1991) was a Canadian ice hockey player. He played 17 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers during the 1948–49 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1940 to 1956, was spent in the minor and senior leagues. Biography After playing with the Canadian Army in the United Kingdom during the Second World War, Wes "Bucko" Trainor was a hockey player in the Maritimes and Newfoundland through the late 1940s and 1950s. He also coached senior and minor hockey in Grand Falls and Gander.
