Denise Dupont
Denise Kanstrup Dupont (born 24 May 1984) is a Danish curler. She throws third rocks for the Danish national team, skipped by Angelina Jensen. After several years of limited success in the Junior ranks, Dupont joined Dorthe Holm's team and was a member of the silver medal-winning European Curling Championships team in 2002. (Throwing second rocks). The following year, the team won a bronze medal. Her success at the European Championships never translated to Junior success or World Championship success at the time. In 2004, she was promoted to the third position, and the team won another bronze at the European Championships in 2005. Madeleine Kanstrup Dupont (born 26 May 1987 in Glostrup, Denmark) is a Danish curler from Copenhagen. She won the Frances Brodie Award in 2004. She currently skips her own team with teammates Mathilde Halse, Denise Dupont (Madeleine's sister), and My Larsen. Dupont has competed in three Olympic Games and 13 World Championships, winning medals at the 2007 World Women's Curling Championship (silver) and the 2009 World Women's Curling Championship (bronze). Jeanne Ellegaard (born July 2, 1987) is a Danish curler. Career Ellegaard was a member of the Danish team that won a silver medal at the 2005 European Youth Olympic Festival. She played second for Madeleine Dupont. At the 2006 World Junior Curling Championships, Ellegaard was the alternate player for Nielsen's bronze medal-winning team. The following year, she won another bronze medal, this time throwing third rocks for Madeleine Dupont at the 2007 World Junior Curling Championships. Later that year, she won a bronze medal at the 2007 European Curling Championships as the alternate for the Nielsen team. Lene Nielsen (born 31 August 1986 in Hvidovre) is a Danish curling, curler. She was the skip of the 2014 Danish Olympic Curling Team. Career Nielsen played in her first international events in 2004, as an alternate for the Madeleine Dupont rink. Even though she was an alternate, she played many games. At the 2004 World Junior Curling Championships, the team finished 6th and at the 2004 Ford World Women's Curling Championship they finished in 8th. They finished in 8th place at the 2004 European Curling Championships. Later that season, Nielsen was promoted to third on the team and they won a silver medal at the 2005 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival. Ulrik Schmidt (born 19 August 1962) is a Denmark, Danish curling, curler. He currently skips the Danish national team, while he throws third stones. Schmidt's first international appearance was at the 1984 World Junior Curling Championships, where he skipped the Danish team to a 9th-place finish. He was then picked up by Sören Bang to play lead at the 1987 European Curling Championships, placing fourth. He was the team's alternate at the 1991 Euros, skipped by Gert Larsen, placing 6th.
