Charlie Enright
Charlie Enright (born 10 September 1984) is an American sailor who has competed in the Volvo Ocean Race. Born in Rhode Island, Enright attended Brown University. He sailed in the 2011 and 2019 Fastnet Race, winning the latter, and worked for North Sails. Enright and Mark Towill co-founded ''Team Alvimedica'' which sailed in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race. Originally intended to be an all-American team, the team was American/Turkish flagged after sponsorship from Alvimedica. They were the youngest team in the fleet. Enright skippered the team and, after leading the fleet around Cape Horn and winning the final leg, they finished fifth overall. Enright sailed in the 2017–18 Volvo Ocean Race, skippering ''Vestas 11th Hour Racing'' and finished fifth overall. Pascal Bidégorry
Pascal Bidegorry (born 15 January 1968, in Bayonne) is a French sailor. Life He has raced across the Atlantic Ocean over 30 times and has set records in many classes. He has won the Solitaire du Figaro and the Transat Jacques Vabre; apart from several championships in the ORMA, IMOCA, MOD 70 and Décision 35 circuits. Besides, he has six French and World Championship titles under his belt. He joined Team Banque Populaire in 2004 as skipper of the ''Banque Populaire III'' trimaran. From February 2010 to April 2011, he was skipper of Banque Populaire V, the world's largest ocean racing trimaran at in length and campaigned the yacht in breaking ocean racing records. Transat Jacques Vabre
The Transat Jacques Vabre is a yachting race that follows the historic coffee trading route between France and Brazil. It is named after (and sponsored by) a French brand of coffee. The course was drawn up back in 1993 to follow in the wake of the clippers transporting coffee from Brazil to France. The Transat Jacques Vabre is a major date on the calendar, taking place every other year in odd years. It is a two-person race and the pairs of sailors are formed according to their complementary skills, what they have in common and how they get on. Boats leave from Le Havre, France's leading coffee importing port, going to Salvador de Bahia, in Brazil, the world's leading coffee grower and exporter (4335 miles). ''Vestas 11th Hour Racing'' was a Volvo Ocean 65 class yacht team competing in the 2017–2018 Volvo Ocean Race. Is was named after 11th Hour Racing, a program of The Schmidt Family Foundation and its then title sponsors: a wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S. After the COVID-19 pandemic disruption the team changed yacht class to IMOCA 60 and no longer had Vestas as a sponsor. It now competes in the 2023 The Ocean Race as 11th Hour Racing. Alvimedica is a manufacturer of coronary stents, balloon catheters, diagnostic and guiding catheters. The company was founded in 2007 by Turkish businessmen and scientists living in Denmark and Sweden. The major intention of the company is investing in small and medium size medical device manufacturers to enable them to compete globally. The company made its first investment move by purchasing a medical device company called Nemed in Turkey in 2007. Following this, the company purchased an American company called In-Vivo, a manufacturer of angioplasty and angiography catheters, and one of the suppliers of Abbott Laboratories.
