Charlie Cresswell
Charlie Richard Cresswell (born 17 August 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or right-back for club Leeds United. Club career Leeds United Cresswell was born in Preston, but grew up in York. He started his career at Leeds United in 2013, before signing a two-year scholarship with the club in 2018. He was included in the League Football Education's ''The 11'' award for under-18 players in June 2019, and signed his first professional contract with the club in September 2019. He made his debut for Leeds on 16 September 2020 against Hull City in the EFL Cup. Cresswell extended his contract to summer 2023 on 19 November 2020. Cresswell captained the under-23s to the Premier League 2 Division 2 title and was nominated along with team mate Sam Greenwood for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. Richard Paul Wesley Cresswell (born 20 September 1977) is an English football coach and former professional player who played as a striker. He played in the Premier League and Football League for York City, Mansfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester City, Preston North End, Leeds United, Stoke City and Sheffield United. Cresswell started his career with York City in their youth system, making his first-team debut in a Second Division match in 1996. Having scored 19 goals for York in the 1998–99 season, he signed for Premier League club Sheffield Wednesday in 1999. After their relegation the following year, Cresswell joined Leicester City of the Premier League, but was loaned to First Division club Preston North End in 2001 and played for them in the 2001 First Division play-off final. The Czech Republic national under-21 football team is the national under-21 association football team of the Czech Republic and is controlled by the Football Association of the Czech Republic. The team competes in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, held every two years. Although the breakup of Czechoslovakia occurred officially on 1 January 1993, the under-21 team continued until the end of the 1994 championship.
