Charles De Livry
Charles Sanguin, marquis de Livry (Paris 1802 – Enghien 14 October 1867) was a 19th-century French playwright. After he made a career in the military, he became famous in the theatre. His plays, often signed Charles, were presented on the most important Parisian stages of his time including the Théâtre des Variétés, the Théâtre du Palais-Royal, the Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin, and the Théâtre de la Gaité. Léon Lévy Brunswick (20 April 1805, in Paris – 29 July 1859, in Le Havre) was a French playwright. He started as a journalist before turning to theater. He is the author of many comedies with Jean-François Bayard, Louis-Émile Vanderburch, and Arthur de Beauplan such as '' Boccaccio, or the Prince of Palmero'' by Franz von Suppé. Nicolas Brazier
Nicolas Brazier (17 February 1783, Paris - 18 February 1838) was a French chansonnier and vaudevillist. Life Son of a boarding school master and author of school manuals, Brazier's education was however strongly neglected due to the French Revolution. At first a jeweller's apprentice, then employed in the "Droits réunis" (the French indirect taxes administration of the time), he showed a talent for verse and was encouraged and guided by Armand Gouffé. Following his first success at the Théâtre des Délassements-Comiques, in 1803, he left his job to devote himself to chansons and to the theatre, following courses at school to fill in the gaps in his education. His witty, spirited and lively chansons often proved popular, though the vulgarity of his style has led to them being forgotten. The Société du Caveau keeps their memory alive. Ferdinand De Villeneuve
Ferdinand de Villeneuve (5 June 1801 – 27 September 1858) was a 19th-century French playwright. Short biography He made his debut in the theatre at the age of 21 by partnering with Charles Dupeuty, and began to be successful from 1823 onwards. In 1825, he founded the newspaper ''La Nouveauté'' with Dupeuty, Amable de Saint-Hilaire and Musnier Desclozeaux, a publication which became a daily. Co-director of the Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin with Anténor Joly from December 1835, he then directed, still with Joly, the Théâtre de la Renaissance in 1838 with its own funds. Ferdinand Langlé
Ferdinand Langlé, full name Joseph-Adophe-Adrien-Ferdinand Langlois, (21 November 1798 – 18 October 1867) was a French playwright and journalist. He was the founder of the company. Biography Joseph Langlois is the son of Honoré Langlé (1741-1807), French composer from Monaco. After he studied medicine, he directed the "Compagnie générale des sépultures" before he established the "Entreprise générale des pompes funèbres" in 1828. He then turned to literature. Under the pseudonyms Ferdinand, Eusèbe or Charles Odry,Georges d'Heilly he wrote articles in several French newspapers as well as a certain number of theater plays which were rather successful. An epilogue or epilog (from Greek ἐπίλογος ''epílogos'', "conclusion" from ἐπί ''epi'', "in addition" and λόγος ''logos'', "word") is a piece of writing at the end of a work of literature, usually used to bring closure to the work.
