Charles Uniacke Mader
Charles Uniacke Mader (April 10, 1856 – May 27, 1929) was a merchant and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Lunenburg County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as a Liberal Party of Nova Scotia, Liberal member from 1904 to 1911. Early life He was born in Maders Cove, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, the son of Francis Mader, of Germany, German descent, and Mary Andrews. Career He first worked as a clerk in a general store and then went into business on his own in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Mahone Bay in 1880. Alexander Kenneth Maclean, (October 18, 1869 July 31, 1942) was a Canadian politician and judge. Early life and education Born in Upper North Sydney, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia, Maclean was educated at Pictou Academy and Dalhousie University. Career A lawyer, practising in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Maclean first ran unsuccessfully for the House of Commons of Canada in the 1900 federal election for the electoral district of Lunenburg. In 1901, he was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for Lunenburg. A Nova Scotia Liberal, he served until 1904 when he was elected to the House of Commons representing Lunenburg. John Drew Sperry (February 10, 1851 – October 7, 1933) was a merchant and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. Mader's Cove is a community in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, located in the Lunenburg Municipal District in Lunenburg County . The current area is mostly along the Mader's Cove Road along the waters of Mahone Bay and includes Westhaver Beach. It is bounded on the west by the old railway, now part of the Bay to Bay Trail, that runs along the old number 3 Highway. Original founders of the cove were of German/Swiss descent. On A.F.
