Charles H. Nesbitt
Charles H. Nesbitt, known as Charlie Nesbitt, is an American politician from the State of New York. A Republican, Nesbitt was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 1992. Before serving in the Assembly, he was a member of the Albion Town Council. He represented the 137th Assembly District, which encompassed portions of Genesee, Monroe, Orleans, and Niagara counties. Nesbitt held the post of Assembly Minority Leader from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, he was appointed to the New York Tax Appeals Tribunal by Gov. George Pataki; he served as president of that body. New York State Assembly
The New York State Assembly is the lower house of the New York State Legislature, with the New York State Senate being the upper house. There are 150 seats in the Assembly. George Pataki
George Elmer Pataki (; born June 24, 1945) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 53rd governor of New York from 1995 to 2006. An attorney by profession, Pataki was elected mayor of his hometown of Peekskill, New York, and went on to be elected to the State Assembly and the State Senate. After defeating three-term incumbent Governor Mario Cuomo by a margin of three points in 1994, Pataki would go on to be elected to three consecutive terms himself. He was the third Republican since 1923 to win New York's governorship, after Thomas E. Dewey and Nelson Rockefeller. Pataki's most notable achievements as governor included the creation of a number of new health care programs, presiding over recovery efforts following the September 11 attacks, and for increasing the state's credit rating three times. William Anson Barclay (born January 5, 1969) is an American politician and attorney from the State of New York. A Republican, he has served in the New York State Assembly since 2003. In January 2020, Barclay was elected to the position of Assembly Minority Leader. Early life, education, family, and law practice Barclay was born in Syracuse, New York. He earned his B.A. from St. Lawrence University in 1992 and his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1995. Albion () is a town in Orleans County, New York, United States. The population was 7,639 at the 2020 census. The town was named after a village in the town. The Town of Albion is centrally located in the county and contains most of the village of Albion, the county seat (the northern part of the village is in the adjacent town of Gaines). History The Town of Albion was created in 1875 by the division of the Town of Barre. The population in 1890 was 1,304. Mount Albion Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Stephen M. Hawley (born 1947) is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. He represents Assembly District 139, which comprises portions of Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, and Orleans counties. John Faso
John James Faso Jr. (born August 25, 1952) is an American attorney and politician who served as the U.S. representative for from 2017 to 2019. Faso was first elected to the post in 2016. A Republican, Faso previously represented the 102nd district in the New York State Assembly from 1987 to 2002 and served as Assembly Minority Leader from 1998 to 2002.
