Charlene Louise Alagon Almarvez is a Filipina fashion model from Laguna who placed second at the Ford Supermodel of the World 2010, winning a modeling representation courtesy of Ford Models in New York. Career Almarvez had her start in the fashion industry after winning the Ford Supermodel of the World Philippines 2009 search and represented the Philippines in São Paulo, Brazil in 2010 placing second, which was the country's highest placement in the competition by that time. She won a contract for a Ford Models representation. Rachel Comey is an American independent fashion designer based in New York City. She is the founder of Rachel Comey, a clothing, shoes, and accessories brand known for its "intellectual, arts-and-crafts aesthetic." Early life Comey was born outside of Hartford, Connecticut. In 1994, she graduated from the University of Vermont, where she focused on Asian studies, printmaking, and sculpture. Career and brand After college, Comey worked at an art gallery in Vermont and designed a line of novelty underwear. Peter Som (born 1970) is a Chinese American fashion designer. He was creative director for Bill Bass and creative consultant for Tommy Hilfiger, where he designed the women’s wear collection, prior to founding his eponymous label. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Peter Som graduated from Connecticut College in 1993 with a degree in art history. He continued his studies at the Parsons School of Design where he apprenticed with American designers, Michael Kors and Calvin Klein.
