Channel X
Channel X Productions is a UK comedy and entertainment company with a 22–year history of producing programmes for all of the major broadcasters. The company specialises in scripted broken and narrative comedy, comedy-entertainment formats and game shows. The company was formed in 1987 by Jonathan Ross and Alan Marke, and the former made his television presenting début as a stand-in presenter for Channel X program ''The Last Resort''. Channel X's Manchester based subsidiary, Channel K, has also won its first commissions in 2009, netting deals at the BBC and Channel 4. Jonathan Ross
Jonathan Stephen Ross (born 17 November 1960) is an English broadcaster, film critic, comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He presented the BBC One chat show ''Friday Night with Jonathan Ross'' during the 2000s, hosted his own radio show on BBC Radio 2 from 1999 to 2010, and served as film critic and presenter of the ''Film'' programme. After leaving the BBC in 2010, Ross began hosting his comedy chat show ''The Jonathan Ross Show'' on ITV''.'' Popetown
''Popetown'' is a French-British adult animated sitcom, billed by its producers as "''Father Ted'' meets ''South Park''". The series was internationally controversial, and was not screened by BBC Three, the channel which commissioned it. Outline The series follows the doodles and scribblings of a student at school during a lesson. His drawings depict the life of Father Nicholas, who lives in a Vatican City parody referred to as "Popetown". He is charged with being the handler for the Pope (who is always referred to by his title, and never given any name) who is a complete nincompoop with the emotional and mental maturity of a four-year-old. ''Detectorists'' is a British comedy television series first broadcast on BBC Four in October 2014. It is written and directed by Mackenzie Crook, who also stars alongside Toby Jones. The series is set in the fictional small town of Danebury in north Essex. ''Modern Toss'' is a British comic by Jon Link and Mick Bunnage. Renowned for their scurrilous humour and highly stylised animation, it was created in 2004, initially as a website publishing single panel jokes and then as series of irregularly released comics. To date there have been ten issues, with the early ones now highly collectable (especially the second, with its free sample of royal hair). The first four comics were republished as two books by Macmillan and two TV series were produced for Channel 4 and distributed worldwide by Fremantle Media. ''Bang Bang, It's Reeves and Mortimer'' is a British comedy television series, the third by comedy double act Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer and their second in a sketch show format. ''The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer'' is a BBC TV sketch show written by and starring double act Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Its first series appeared in 1993 following the duo's move to the BBC after parting company with Channel 4. The show developed and expanded upon the absurd, anarchic comedy that the pair had first explored on Channel 4's '' Vic Reeves Big Night Out''. The major development from the previous series was that Mortimer now hosted the show alongside Reeves. As well as getting his name in the title, he and Reeves sat together behind the large prop-strewn desk.
