Chandra Nayudu
Chandra Nayudu (1933 – 4 April 2021) was an Indian cricketer, cricket commentator, teacher, and author. She was India's first female cricket commentator, as well as one of India's earliest woman cricketers. Life and family Chandra Nayudu was born in 1933. Her father, C. K. Nayudu, was a well-known cricketer and the captain of India's first test cricket team. Career Nayudu graduated with a degree in English, and taught English at a government college in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Nayudu competed briefly in domestic women's cricket, leading the first Uttar Pradesh women's cricket team, and played cricket for her college, before taking up cricket commentary in the 1970s. She was India's first female cricket commentator. She began her career in commentary in a match between the Madras Cricket Club vs. Bombay in the 1976-77 season, and continued to comment for domestic and international matches in Hindi and English. Cricketer
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association
The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), headquartered at Indore, India, is the governing body of cricket in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and the Madhya Pradesh cricket team. The board was formed in 1940 as the Holkar Cricket Association. It is one of the Cricket Governing provincial units affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India. MPCA is one of the oldest affiliates of the BCCI – since the 1940s. In the recent past, MPCA has contributed to the careers of Indian cricketers like Col. C.K. Nayudu, Capt. Cricket Club of India (CCI) is a cricket club in India. It is located on Dinsha Wacha Road, in Churchgate of Mumbai, India. It was conceived as India's counterpart to the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). It is considered one of the most prestigious clubs in the nation. The CCI uses the Brabourne Stadium for cricket games. Lord's Cricket Ground, commonly known as Lord's, is a cricket venue in St John's Wood, London.
