Chandeen
Chandeen ( ) is a musical project from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 1990 and popular in the darkwave scene in the first half of the 1990s. History Chandeen was founded in 1990 by Harald Löwy and Oliver Henkel, who had been working on musical experiments together from the winter of 1989. The name comes from a pet iguana owned by a friend of Löwy. In 1991 Aline Akbari joined, and additional singer Antje Schulz joined in 1992. After two cassette releases, they came to the attention of Hyperium Records head Oliver Rösch, who signed them. Moskwa TV
Moskwa TV was a German electronic dance music band. Biography In the early 1980s, Andreas Tomalla (aka Talla 2XLC) began his career as a DJ in Frankfurt, and put on preferably Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Together with Ralf Henrich (aka RaHen), he founded the band Moskwa TV, with a very modern techno sound for the time. The ground-breaking debut album ''Dynamics & Discipline'' was mainly composed by Talla and RaHen, and produced by Kurt Ader and Axel Henninger / Naskrent in the Dynaton Studio. Vocalist Ion Javelin (Jan Veil) joined during the production of the debut album at the recommendation of label CBS to the band. At CBS, he had released his first single, "Dancing in Heaven", under the pseudonym Gary Chandler, with little commercial success. RaHen and Javelin together composed the song "Generator 7/8". Hyperium Records was a German independent record label specializing in darkwave, neoclassical, ethereal, gothic rock, and ambient music, founded by Oliver Roesch (also known as "Oli" Roesch) and Oliver van Essenberg in 1991. Roesch died on August 1, 2002 in a motorcycle accident. Releases ''Heavenly Voices'' compilations Hyperium released a series of ''Heavenly Voices'' compilation series, which featured prominent use of female vocals in a neo-classical, neofolk, world music, trip hop or ethereal style. "Heavenly Voices" has often been used as a genre term, particularly during the mid to late 1990s. Love Is Colder Than Death claim that the series was inspired by their music. Dark wave (also typeset as darkwave) is a music genre that emerged from the new wave and post-punk movement of the late 1970s. Haujobb is a German electronic musical project whose output has ranged drastically within the electronic music spectrum, from electro-industrial to ambient and techno. They have become a staple crossover act, bringing several forms of electro into the mainstream industrial music world.
