Chancellor (musician)
Kim Jung-seung (; born October 22, 1986), better known by his stage name Chancellor (), is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Born in Seoul, his family immigrated to the United States in his youth where he lived until returning to South Korea in 2009. He debuted in the trio One Way the following year, which found little success. He partnered with Park Jang-geun to form the songwriting and production duo Duble Sidekick, which garnered success from 2012. Chancellor left the team two years later to pursue a solo career. He released his debut studio album ''My Full Name'' in 2016. Life and career Chancellor was born Kim Jung-seung on October 22, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea. The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) is a South Korean non-profit copyright collective for musical works, administering public performance and broadcasting rights, and mechanical recording and reproduction rights. Founded in 1964, it is the second collective rights management organization for musical works in Asia, after JASRAC in Japan. It is also one of the largest in Asia, with over 40,000 members. In 2021, it collected (US$221 million) in licensing fees and distributed ₩256 billion (US$196 million) in royalties to its members. Copyright owners—including authors, composers, arrangers, and music publishers—can join KOMCA as associate members. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010. History Gaon Chart was launched in February 2010 by the Korea Music Content Association, under the sponsorship of the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the aim to create a domestic national chart similar to the ''Billboard'' charts of the United States and the Oricon charts of Japan. Kim Yoon-ji (English name: Christine Kim; Hangul: 김윤지) is a Korean-American singer in South Korea. She performs under the stage name NS Yoon-G (Hangul: NS윤지) and debuted in 2009 with the digital single "Head Hurts" under JTM Entertainment. She is now with VAST Entertainment. Lee Se-jin (; born 9 November 1981) is a South Korean singer known professionally as Lyn. She has released ten studio albums to date. Career Lyn was first scouted by an agency because of her voice and from there, she first made her debut under her real name, Lee Se-jin, and released an album. The album sold poorly and was barely known. Lyn then took some time off to train vocally. She made a comeback in 2002 under the name ''Lyn'' with her supposedly first album ''Have You Ever Have A Broken Heart?''.
