Chance Carter
Chance Carter (born 15 September 2001) is a Canadian former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder for FC Edmonton. Early life Carter grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. He played youth soccer for Drillers Soccer Club and then FC Edmonton Academy. Club career Vancouver Whitecaps In early 2017, Carter joined the academy program of Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps FC. In the 2016–17 USSDA season, he made eleven appearances for Vancouver's under-15/16 side, scoring one goal. The following year, he made 29 appearances in all competitions for the under-16/17 side, scoring five goals, and also made one appearance for the under-18/19 team. In 2018–19, Carter joined the under-18/19 ranks and made thirteen appearances. The following year, he scored one goal in eight appearances for the team. Forge FC is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Hamilton, Ontario, that competes in the Canadian Premier League, the top tier of Canadian soccer. The Canadian Premier League (CPL or CanPL; french: Première ligue canadienne, links=no) is a professional men's Association football, soccer league in Canada. At the top of the Canadian soccer league system, it is the country's primary national soccer league competition. The league consists of eight teams, from five of provinces and territories of Canada, Canada's ten provinces. 2021 Canadian Premier League Season
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. On June 5, the league committed to a full 28-match season, but that the season would begin in a single-site bubble at IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, promoted as "The Kickoff", with each team playing eight matches between June 26 and July 24. The U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) was an American soccer league. Formed in 2007, the league features youth academies and youth clubs from various organizations, including Major League Soccer and the United Soccer League. The DA's mission was to provide education, resources, and support to impact everyday club environments in order to develop world-class players. As of the 2016–17 season, the Academy had 149 total clubs, in five age groups: U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15/16, and U-17/18. The Academy was in the process of expanding their programming to include a Girls' Development Academy that consisted of 74 clubs and began in the fall of 2017. Vancouver Whitecaps FC
Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference.
