Chai Keong Toh
Chai Keong Toh is a Singaporean computer scientist, engineer and professor. He is currently an Expert Consultant to the Gerson Lehrman Group. He has performed research on wireless ad hoc networks, mobile computing, Internet Protocols, and multimedia for over two decades. Toh researches on Internet-of-Things (IoT), architectures, platforms, and applications behind the development of smart cities. Early life Born in Singapore, Toh studied in Singapore Polytechnic and then received his university education in the United Kingdom. He subsequently moved to live and work in the United States. Wireless Ad Hoc Network
A wireless ad hoc network (WANET) or mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a decentralized type of wireless network. The network is ad hoc because it does not rely on a pre-existing infrastructure, such as routers in wired networks or access points in wireless networks. Instead, each node participates in routing by forwarding data for other nodes, so the determination of which nodes forward data is made dynamically on the basis of network connectivity and the routing algorithm in use. Archive Corporation was a computer tape drive manufacturer, based in Costa Mesa, California, that was acquired by Conner Peripherals in 1993. King's College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge.
