Chabad Emissary
A ( he, שליח, pl. , ) is a member of the Chabad Hasidic movement who is sent out to promulgate Judaism and Hasidism in locations around the world. There are over 6,500 Chabad families worldwide, in over 110 countries. Origins Starting in the 1950s, the Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, sent many thousands of all over the world, often to remote locations, to bring Jews closer to Judaism through his mitzvah campaigns, and to assist Jewish communities worldwide in their religious needs. Gershon Mendel Garelik
Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik (14 May 1932 - 13 February 2021) was a Chabad rabbi in Milan, Italy for more than 60 years. He was also head of Chabad institutions in Italy. He was also an active Beit Din head in that city. He was active in the Rabbinical Center of Europe and was chairman of that organisation's executive committee. He previously served as chairman of the RCE. Life Rabbi Garelik was born in the city of Yalta in Russia. His parents were Chaim Meir and Rivka Garelik. He learned in the underground Yeshivot (because learning religion was forbidden during the soviet rule) in Russia. In 1947 his family escaped Russia, first they were in the DP camps in Germany until they finally moved to Israel. Abraham Shemtov
Abraham Shemtov (born February 16, 1937) is a Chabad-Lubavitch rabbi and a shaliach ("emissary") of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson. He is chairman of the board of Agudas Chasidei Chabad, the movement's umbrella organization, and was entrusted by the Rebbe with various missions, among them as the movement's envoy to the White House and Capitol Hill. Menachem Shmuel David Raichik
Rabbi Menachem Shmuel David Raichik (March 15, 1918 – February 4, 1998) was an Orthodox rabbi of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement, and the pioneer of Chabad's activities in Los Angeles, California. Raichik served as a shaliach for the sixth and seventh Lubavitcher Rebbes. Early life and education He was born in the Polish town of Mlava. In 1936, upon the advice of the famous Amshinover Rebbe, the young Raichik enrolled in the Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim in Otwock, Poland, where he learned the Chabad doctrines of synthesis, scholarship, and personal refinement. Fellow students recall his meticulous observance of the mitzvot and his passionate way of prayer. Manis Friedman (full name: Menachem Manis HaKohen Friedman, he, מנחם מניס הכהן פרידמן; born 1946) is a Hassid, rabbi, author, social philosopher and public speaker. Pinchus Feldman
Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM (born 1944) is the first Chabad shaliach ("emissary") of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement in New South Wales, Australia. Biography Feldman is the son of Rabbi and Rebbetzin Menachem Mendel Feldman, the longtime rabbi of Congregation Shearis Yisroel, Baltimore, Maryland. In 1964, he was sent as a shliach by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson to New South Wales, Australia, where he married Pnina Gutnick, the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Gutnick. He is the brother-in-law of commodities magnate Joseph Gutnick and rabbis Mordechai and Moshe Gutnick. In 1968, Rabbi Schneerson encouraged him to accept the leadership of Yeshiva Centre. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Chitrik (born March 31, 1977), better known as Rabbi Mendy Chitrik, is an American, Israeli, and Turkish Rabbi of the Ashkenazi Jewish community of Turkey since 2003. Shlomo Dov Pinchas Lazar (born May 19, 1964), better known as Berel Lazar, is an Orthodox, Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic rabbi. He began his service in Russia in 1990.
