Ceyda Aktaş
Ceyda Aktaş (born August 18, 1994 in Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish volleyball player. She is tall at and plays in the wing spiker position. Ceyda describes herself as having been hyperactivity, hyperactive in her childhood. For this, her parents canalized her to performing sports and dancing. She first began with playing basketball, but left it because she was not interested anymore. Ceyda then learned and performed Latin dances, participating at dance competitions as well. Due to her physique, she was discovered by volleyball coaches Zeycan Acar and Taner Atik, who visited her class in the school while searching for potential volleyballers. At the age of ten, Ceyda began playing volleyball in 2004 as a member of Ankara VakıfBank's girls team. Ceyda Aslı Kılıçkıran (born February 16, 1968) is a Turkish female screenwriter and film director. She was born on February 16, 1968, in Izmir, where her father was working as a director and producer for the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT). After finishing the high school, she studied English literature and Philology at Istanbul University graduating in 1993. Kılıçkıran worked as a writer for foreign papers including ''Daily News'' and ''Middle East Journal'' before she became editor-in-chief of the ''CIDC Insight''. Ceyda Sungur, also known as Kırmızılı Kadın ( English: ''Woman in Red''), is a Turkish academic and activist. Life She was born in 1986. After completing her bachelor's degree on urban planning, she has started to work as a research assistant at the Istanbul Technical University. Case of police brutality In May 2013, she participated the Gezi Park protests in Istanbul as rioter and volunteer first-aider. During the demonstrations, she was attacked by a police officer named Fatih Zengin. When a photo journalist from the Reuters—Osman Orsal—photographed the moment that Sungur was subject of the police brutality, a huge reaction was sparked both in Turkish and international public.
