Central Mamuju Regency
Central Mamuju Regency is a regency in the province of West Sulawesi, Indonesia. The regency was established on 14 December 2012, comprising five districts (''kecamatan'') which had formerly been part of Mamuju Regency. It covers an area of 3,015.95 km2 and had a population of 105,495 at the 2010 Census and 135,280 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2022 was 140,028. A regency ( id, kabupaten), sometimes incorrectly referred to as a district, is an administrative division of Indonesia, directly under a province and on the same level with city (''kota''). Regencies is divided into districts (''Kecamatan'', ''Distrik'' in Papua region, or ''Kapanewon'' in the Special Region of Yogyakarta). Mamuju Regency
Mamuju Regency is a regency ( id, kabupaten Mamuju) of West Sulawesi province, Indonesia. The regency capital is at Karema, while Mamuju town is the capital of West Sulawesi. The population of the regency was 336,879 at the 2010 Census, but it was substantially reduced by the creation of the new Central Mamuju Regency which was cut out of it in 2012. The reduced Mamuju Regency covers an area of 4,954.57 km2 and had a population of 278,764 at the 2020 Census. The official estimate as at mid 2021 was 281,854. Sulawesi (), also known as Celebes (), is an island in Indonesia.
