Central Labrador is the most populous region of Labrador, Canada, that extends from the shores of Lake Melville into the interior. It is also home to Happy Valley – Goose Bay, the largest community in Labrador. Quebec Route 138
Route 138 is a major highway in the Canadian province of Quebec, following the entire north shore of the Saint Lawrence River past Montreal to the temporary eastern terminus in Kegashka on the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. The western terminus is in Elgin, at the border with New York State south-west of Montreal (connecting with New York State Route 30 at the Trout River Border Crossing). Part of this highway is known as the '' Chemin du Roy'', or King's Highway, which is one of the oldest highways in Canada. Route 520, also known as North West River Road, is a north-south supplementary highway off of the Trans-Labrador Highway in Labrador, which connects Happy Valley-Goose Bay to North West River. Route 520 is the highest numbered highway of any kind in the entire province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Central Mineral Belt is a geologically defined area of Labrador in northeastern Canada, forming a part of the Canadian Shield. It is important as a source of iron ore, uranium and other minerals. Blanc Sablon, Quebec
Blanc-Sablon is the easternmost community in Le Golfe-du-Saint-Laurent Regional County Municipality, in the administrative région of Côte-Nord, in the province of Quebec, Canada. With a population of 1,122 inhabitants in 2021, it is the most populous community in the county municipality. History The place was already known to early European explorers who may have named it after the fine white sand of the eponymous bay (''blanc'' means "white", whereas ''sablon'' is the diminutive form of ''sable'' meaning "sand"). Baie-Comeau (; 2021 city population 20,687; CA population 26,643) is a city located approximately north-east of Quebec City in the Côte-Nord region of the province of Quebec, Canada.
