Central Kansas Railway
The Central Kansas Railway (CKR) was a short-line railroad operating of trackage in the U.S. state of Kansas and west to Scott City, Kansas. All trackage was former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway branchlines in Kansas and northern Oklahoma. The Kansas Southwestern Railway, a sister company which operated former Missouri Pacific Railroad branchlines in Kansas, was merged into the CKR in 2000. Owned by Omnitrax, CKR's main business was from the Kansas wheat harvests, as well as other traffic. Watco purchased all of the CKR's lines on May 31, 2001 and formed the Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad."Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad KO #380"


Okanagan Valley Railway
Okanagan Valley Railway was a railroad operating former Canadian Pacific Railway track in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. Service commenced on November 22, 1998. OKAN's line ran from a CP connection at Sicamous to Vernon (46.3 miles). It also had trackage rights on Kelowna Pacific Railway's line (operating former CN track) from Vernon to Kelowna (33.4 miles) and from Lumby Junction to Lumby (14.4 miles). The railroad was owned by OmniTRAX. Among the businesses served were forestry, farming, chemicals and cement. Missouri Pacific Railroad
The Missouri Pacific Railroad , commonly abbreviated as MoPac, was one of the first railroads in the United States west of the Mississippi River. MoPac was a Class I railroad growing from dozens of predecessors and mergers. In 1967, the railroad operated 9,041 miles of road and 13,318 miles of track, not including DK&S, NO&LC, T&P, and its subsidiaries C&EI and Missouri-Illinois. Union Pacific Corporation, the parent company of the Union Pacific Railroad, agreed to buy the Missouri Pacific Railroad on January 8, 1980. Lawsuits filed by competing railroads delayed approval of the merger until September 13, 1982. After the Supreme Court denied a trial to the Southern Pacific, the merger took effect on December 22, 1982. Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad
The Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad is a shortline railroad operating in the Midwestern United States. It is primarily located in Kansas and extends into Colorado, but despite its name, not into Oklahoma. Overview The KO is a subsidiary of Watco, which took over the operations of the Central Kansas Railway (CKRY) on June 29, 2001. The CKRY property (which by this time included the merged Kansas Southwestern Railway) was purchased from OmniTrax and was named the Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad. EMD GP10
The EMD GP10 is a diesel-electric locomotive that is the result of rebuilding a GP7, GP9 or GP18. The Illinois Central Railroad had three separate rebuild programs to upgrade their old EMD GPs and GPs that they had purchased from equipment dealers such as Precision National Corporation in Mount Vernon, Illinois. The first was the GP8, second the GP10 and third the GP11. All were rebuilt at IC/ICG's Paducah Shops in Kentucky. Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway
The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway , often referred to as the Santa Fe or AT&SF, was one of the larger railroads in the United States. The railroad was chartered in February 1859 to serve the cities of Atchison and Topeka, Kansas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The railroad reached the Kansas–Colorado border in 1873 and Pueblo, Colorado, in 1876. To create a demand for its services, the railroad set up real estate offices and sold farmland from the land grants that it was awarded by Congress. Despite being chartered to serve the city, the railroad chose to bypass Santa Fe, due to the engineering challenges of the mountainous terrain.
