Ryan McCarthy (American Football)
Ryan McCarthy was an American college football coach. He served the head football coach at Central Connecticut State University from 2019 to 2022. Early life A native of Wilder, Vermont, McCarthy earned a B.S. in physical education at State University of New York at Cortland, where he played as a quarterback for the Cortland Red Dragons. Coaching career Macarthy began his coaching career at Siena College in 2003. He then moved to the University at Albany, SUNY and served as assistant coach for 11 seasons. His teams led the Northeast Conference (NEC) in offense four times and set numerous offensive records under head coach Bob Ford. McCarthy moved to Central Connecticut State University and became the offensive coordinator under Pete Rossomando in 2015. 2019 Albany Great Danes Football Team
The 2019 Albany Great Danes football team represented the University at Albany, SUNY as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) during the 2019 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by sixth-year head coach Greg Gattuso, the Great Danes compiled an overall record of 9–5 with a mark of 6–2 in conference play, placing second in the CAA. Peter Rossomando
Peter Rossomando (born April 7, 1972) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the eleventh head coach at NCAA Division I FCS member Lamar University, named on December 10, 2022. He served as the interim head coach at University of North Carolina at Charlotte for the final four games of the 2022 football season. He had been the 49er's offensive line coach for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He was previously the offensive line coach for Vanderbilt University during the 2020 football season. Rossomando served as the head football coach at the University of New Haven from 2008 to 2013 and Central Connecticut State University from 2014 to 2018. In 2012, he was awarded the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award for NCAA Division II as head coach of the New Haven Chargers.
