Cem Gezinci
Cem Gezinci (born 1 September 1985 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish wheelchair basketball player and Paralympian. He is a 4.5 point player competing for Beşiktaş, and is part of Turkey men's national wheelchair basketball team. Cem plays in the national team, which qualified to the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship
The 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship was held in Birmingham, Great Britain from 7 to 17 July 2010. Both the men's and women's tournaments were held. The Championships was a qualifying event for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Medalists Squads Each of the 12 men's and 10 women's teams selected a squad of 12 players for the tournament. Wheelchair basketball at the 2016 Summer Paralympics will be held from 8 to 17 September at Carioca Arena 1 and the Rio Olympic Arena in Rio de Janeiro. Competition format In the men's tournament, twelve qualified nations are drawn into two groups, each consisting of six teams, where each team meets the other teams once. The four highest placed teams in each group advance to a knock-out round to decide the medals 4th to 8th places. The fifth-placed teams meet each other over the 9th and 10th places, and the sixth-placed teams meet each other over the 11th and 12th places.
