Celtic Media Group
Celtic Media Group provides publishing, printing and pre-press (graphic design) services to the Irish newspaper sector. It also has a digital consultancy service. It is owned by its Irish management team, following a management buy-out led by CEO Frank Mulrennan in 2012. The group was previously owned by Scottish media firm, Dunfermline Press Group. Celtic Media has expanded since with the acquisition of the Connaught Telegraph in 2014 and its co-ownership of Dublin People Group, publisher of Northside People & Southside People, acquired in 2018. It employs a total workforce of 90 staff and has invested significantly in its integrated newspaper publishing system, purchased from the Newscycle company. Navan
Navan ( ; , meaning "the Cave") is the county town of County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. In 2016, it had a population of 30,173, making it the List of urban areas in the Republic of Ireland by population, tenth largest settlement in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is at the confluence of the River Boyne and Leinster Blackwater, Blackwater, around 50 km northwest of Dublin. History and name Navan is a Norman foundation: Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath, Hugh de Lacy, who was granted the Lordship of Meath in 1172, awarded the Baron of Navan, Barony of Navan to one of his knights, Jocelyn de Angulo, who built a fort there, from which the town developed. County Meath (; gle, Contae na Mí or simply ) is a county in the Eastern and Midland Region of Ireland, within the province of Leinster. It is bordered by Dublin to the southeast, Louth to the northeast, Kildare to the south, Offaly to the southwest, Westmeath to the west, Cavan to the northwest, and Monaghan to the north. To the east, Meath also borders the Irish Sea along a narrow strip between the rivers Boyne and Delvin, giving it the second shortest coastline of any county. The ''Westmeath Examiner'' is a weekly newspaper in Westmeath, Ireland. It was founded in 1882. The ''Westmeath Examiner'' is a sister paper of the ''Westmeath Independent'' which circulates in the Athlone area of the county. The ''Westmeath Examiner'' circulates in the north of the county and is based in Mullingar, the capital town of Westmeath. The ''Southside People'' is a free newspaper for the southside of Dublin, part of the Dublin People group of free newspapers distributed to homes in Dublin and available in supermarkets and convenience stores throughout the city. The ''Northside People'' is part of the Dublin People group of free newspapers, distributed to homes in Dublin and available at designated pick-up-points in supermarkets and convenience stores throughout the city. It closed in May 2020 but reopened, under new ownership, later that year. History The first edition of ''Northside People'' was published in May 1987.
