Celebrity Treasure Island 2021
''Celebrity Treasure Island 2021'' is the 11th season overall, and the fifth celebrity season of the New Zealand reality-television series ''Treasure Island''. After a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fifth edition of ''Celebrity Treasure Island'' was filmed in the summer of 2021 on an island off the coast of Ngātaki, in Northland, New Zealand, instead of the usual location, Fiji. The season premiered on 6 September, and airs weekly, Monday to Wednesday, at 7:30 PM on TVNZ 2. Matt Chisholm and Bree Tomasel returned as hosts. 21 new celebrity castaways take part on home soil, going head-to-head for the chance to win NZ$100,000 for their chosen charity. Chris Parker was the sole Katipō member left, and the eventual winner, who took $100,000 for Rainbow Youth. Edna Swart and Lance Savali were the other two finalists. Spirits Bay
Spirits Bay, officially named Piwhane / Spirits Bay, is a remote bay at the northern end of the Aupouri Peninsula, which forms the northern tip of New Zealand's North Island. It lies between Cape Reinga / Te Rerenga Wairua in the west and Ngataea / Hooper Point in the east. It is one of two bays in the short length of coast at the top of the North Island (the other being Takapaukura / Tom Bowling Bay, further to the east). Kapowairua, a locality at the eastern end of Spirits Bay, has a campsite managed by the Department of Conservation. A walking path of about 8.5 kilometres (5.3 miles) runs along the bay. The Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (abbreviated as RNZSPCA or SPCA) is a New Zealand charitable society who work to promote the humane treatment of animals. Ngāti Kurī
Ngāti Kurī is a Māori iwi from Northland, New Zealand. The iwi is one of the five Muriwhenua iwi of the far north of the North Island. Ngāti Kurī trace their whakapapa (ancestry) back to Pōhurihanga, the captain of the waka (canoe) Kurahaupō. ''Kurī'', in Māori, means "dog". The rohe (tribal area) of the iwi is focused on the most northern tip of the North Island and includes the Kermadec Islands, Three Kings Island, Cape Reinga, Ninety Mile Beach, Parengarenga Harbour, Te Kao and Houhora. Anna Katrina Simcic (born 8 November 1971), married name Anna Forrest, is a female former New Zealand swimming representative.
