Celebrity Big Brother (South Africa)
''Celebrity Big Brother'' was the celebrity season of the ''Big Brother''. In it, the Housemates are only local celebrities. The show follows the main Big Brother rules, but with some changes. For example, the celebrity season's duration is much shorter, lasting only eight days. The show started on 23 June 2002 and ended on 30 June 2002. The hosts were Mark Pilgrim and Gerry Rantseli. It was aired on M-Net. The winner was Bill Flynn. He won the chair from the diary room. All the money raised from voting was given for charity. Big Brother (South Africa)
''Big Brother Mzansi'', formerly known as ''Big Brother South Africa'', is a television series in South Africa produced by M-Net and Endemol. As of 2022, it has had a total of six seasons. ''Big Brother South Africa'' had two seasons, and a celebrity season in between. The first season aired in 2001 and the second in 2002. Both seasons were directed by Leon Coetzer and hosted by Mark Pilgrim. In 2014, the show was rebooted and rebranded ''Big Brother Mzansi''. This return show brought with it a new host, Lungile Radu, and a new production network, M-Net's Mzansi Magic. The second season was broadcast in 2015. Following a six-year hiatus, a third season of ''Big Brother Mzansi'' was announced which premiered on 23 January 2022 with a new host, Lawrence Maleka. Tsakani Mhinga
Tsakani "TK" Mhinga (23 November 1978 – 27 February 2006) was a multiple SAMA award winning South African R&B singer, arranger and songwriter. In her lifetime she unquestionably occupied South Africa's R&B throne and was one of the country's prominent vocalists. She was found dead in a hotel room in Bryanston, Gauteng, Bryanston, Johannesburg by hotel staff on 27 February 2006 of a drug overdose. It remains unclear whether the overdose was intentional or accidental. Farnham
Farnham ( /ˈfɑːnəm/) is a market town and civil parish in Surrey, England, around southwest of London. It is in the Borough of Waverley, close to the county border with Hampshire. Jo-Ann Cindy Strauss (born 3 February 1981 in Cape Town) is a South African model, public speaker and businesswoman. In 2001, she represented her country as Miss South Africa at the Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico as well as at the Miss World pageant hosted at Sun City in her home country in 2001. She was featured in the 2001 music video of the Irish pop group Westlife's single " When You're Looking Like That". Career Strauss obtained her bachelor's degree at the Stellenbosch University. Mark Pilgrim (presenter)
Mark Pilgrim (born 20 September 1969) is a South African media personality who has hosted numerous radio and television shows, most notably as a DJ on 5FM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, 94.5 Kfm, Hot919 and currently Hot102.7fm. On television, he hosted both seasons of Big Brother South Africa, the first season of ''Big Brother Africa'' and the MNET game show ''Power of 10''. Radio career Mark Pilgrim started his radio career on Voice of Wits campus radio in the 80s. He joined 5FM in 1995. In 2003 he left 5fm and joined 94.7 Highveld Stereo in Johannesburg. In October 2007, Pilgrim hosted a chart show broadcast on 2 radio stations simultaneously (KFM and 94.7). Soweto () is a township of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng, South Africa, bordering the city's mining belt in the south.
