Cedric James
Cedric James (born March 19, 1979) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots. He played college football at Texas Christian University. Early years James attended Kennedale High School, where he was a two-time All-District 11-3A selection, registering in his senior season 27 receptions for 678 yards (25.11-yards per reception), 11 touchdowns and 10 carries for 155 yards (15.50 yards per attempt). He graduated in 1997. College career James accepted a football scholarship from Texas Christian University, where he played in a run oriented offense built around future College Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson. As a true freshman, he appeared in 10 games, making 4 receptions for 51 yards. The 2001 NFL Draft was the 66th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible professional football players. The draft, which is officially referred to as the "NFL Player Selection Meeting," was held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on April 21–22, 2001. Hamburg Sea Devils (NFL Europe)
The Hamburg Sea Devils were an American football team that played in NFL Europe from 2005 to 2007. They played their home games at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion (also home to the German association football team Hamburger SV). They played their first game on 2 April 2005 losing 24–23 to the Cologne Centurions (who were the newest NFL Europe franchise before the Sea Devils). The Sea Devils' first win came in Week 3 of the 2005 season, with a 31–24 home victory over the then-struggling Rhein Fire. Their first head coach was Jack Bicknell, previously head coach of the defunct Barcelona Dragons and Scottish Claymores. The Sea Devils had directly replaced the Claymores after the 2004 season.
