The Cedar Rapids Rampage was an American professional indoor soccer franchise based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Founded in June 2015, the team made its debut in the Major Arena Soccer League with the 2015–16 season. The team's name and logo were revealed at a press conference on July 16, 2015. The team shared its ownership group with the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League, and sponsored an outdoor team the Cedar Rapids Rampage United that were a part of the Premier League of America. History Former Chicago Storm assistant and Rockford Rampage head coach Jeff Kraft was named the first head coach in franchise history. In the first home pre-season match in Cedar Rapids, the Rampage would lose 11-6 to the St. Louis Ambush at the U.S. Cellular Center on October 30, 2015. Alliant Energy PowerHouse (formerly Five Seasons Center and later U.S. Cellular Center) is a multi-purpose arena located in the downtown area of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was financed by the approval of a voter referendum to allocate special municipal capital improvement bond monies, after several prior bond referendums to build a civic center failed between 1965 and 1977. The initial construction cost was approximately $7 million for the arena and facilities. The city approved an additional $1 million to build an adjacent multi-level parking facility connected to the center by a skywalk. The center is adjoined by a 16-story DoubleTree hotel facility built directly above the arena. MASL2
The Major Arena Soccer League 2 is a North American indoor soccer league that serves as the developmental league of the Major Arena Soccer League. History M2 launched in 2017 to "provide an outlet for teams to either reorganize for a re-emergence in the MASL or an avenue for teams to compete in smaller markets in hopes of rising to MASL status." It was announced that M2 would have between 8 and 12 teams. The 2018–19 season brought the total number of teams participating in the season up from 10 to 15. Stockton, California was announced as a market and held a team naming contest, but all news stories from the league website and all mention of the Stockton franchised were dropped. Jamar Beasley (born October 11, 1979, in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American soccer player. Career Beasley began his professional career in 1998, as a member Major League Soccer's Project-40, directly out of High School (South Side High School). Charlie Bales (born October 22, 1991) is an American soccer player for the Iowa Demon Hawks in Major Arena Soccer League 2.
