Catherine Ruge
Catherine Ruge (born June 25, 1982) is a Tanzanian politician who served as the Chadema (Special Seats) MP for Serengeti, between 2017 and 2020. Early years and education Ruge graduated high school in Dodoma in 2003. She attended the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) from 2004 to 2007, obtaining a degree in Business and Accounting. In 2015 she gained her master's degree in Business Management at the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree (PhD) at UDSM on gender issues in the field of accounting. Ruge is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holding the CPA certificate accredited by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania. Dodoma
Dodoma ( in Gogo), officially Dodoma City, is the national capital of Tanzania and the capital of the Dodoma Region, with a population of 410,956. In 1974, the Tanzanian government announced that the capital would be moved to Dodoma for social and economic reasons and to centralise the capital within the country. The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is a public university in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It was established in 1961 as an affiliate college of the University of London. The university became an affiliate of the University of East Africa (UEA) in 1963, shortly after Tanzania gained its independence from the United Kingdom. Eastern and Southern African Management Institute, or ESAMI is a diplomatic regional management development institute owned by various governments in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Established in 1980, the Institute has its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
