Castelvetro di Modena ( Modenese: ) is a town and ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about west of Bologna and about south of Modena. Geography The municipality borders with Castelnuovo Rangone, Formigine, Maranello, Marano sul Panaro, Spilamberto, Serramazzoni and Vignola. It counts the hamlets (''frazioni'') of Ca' di Sola, Ca' Gatti, Ca' Montanari, Casa Re, Levizzano Rangone, Madonna di Puianello, Sant'Eusebio, Settecani and Solignano Nuovo. Castelfidardo
Castelfidardo ( Marchigiano: ''Castello'') is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region of central-eastern Italy. It is remembered for a Piedmontese victory over an army composed of foreign volunteers defending the Papal States, on September 18, 1860. The town's Museum of the Risorgimento, in the palazzo Mordini, commemorates the battle and places it in the wider context of the Risorgimento as a whole. It houses artifacts and documents of the period, including around 130 loans from private collections or other museums. Giovanni Muzzioli
Giovanni Muzzioli (10 February 18545 August 1894) was an Italian painter. Biography Muzzioli was born in Modena, after his family had moved from Castelvetro. At the age of 15 years, he began to attend the local Academy of Fine Arts of Modena, working under Antonio Simonazzi and Asioli. At the age of seventeen (1871), years later, he gained the Poletti scholarship entitling him to four years residence in Rome studying at the Accademia di San Luca, working first under professor Podesti, and later after 1874 under professor Coghetti. In Rome, he painted an ''Abraham and Sarah at the court of the Pharaoh'', a painting which he sent back to Modena. Soon thereafter, he moved to Florence, where he remained the rest of his life. After his return to Modena, Muzzioli visited the Paris Exhibition, and there came under the influence of Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, and began painting subjects from classical history of Greece and Rome. Santi Senesio e Teopompo is a Roman Catholic parish church located in the town of Castelvetro di Modena in the province of Modena, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. History This church was a small oratory or small church, that served as the private chapel of the Rangoni family, and was located next to the palace inside the town walls. With the influx of the population to within the protective walls. This became the town's church with the abandonment of Santa Maria del Gherlo, an ancient church (documented 996) which had been located outside the walls.
