Barbara Ann Cassani, CBE, (born July 22, 1960) is an American businesswoman. She was the founder under British Airways of budget airline Go Fly and was the first leader of London's bid for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Personal life Barbara Cassani was born in Boston to James and Noreen Cassani. She studied at Mount Holyoke College, graduating ''magna cum laude'' with a BA (Hons) international relations in 1982; and is also a former trustee of Mount Holyoke. Cassani earned a master's degree, again in international relations, from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Davide Cassani (born 1 January 1961) is a former road cyclist and cycling commentator on Italian television from Italy. Now he works as manager for Italy national cycling team. He was born in Faenza. In 1982 he made his professional debut with Termolan-Galli. In 1986 he moved to Carrera, where he supported figures such as Claudio Chiappucci, Roberto Visentini and Stephen Roche; Cassani later raced for Gewiss-Bianchi, Ariostea, GB-MG and Saeco. He retired in 1996 after being hit by a car in training. Media work After retiring from cycling, he became a commentator at Italian public broadcaster RAI. In 2007, he was involved in the withdrawal of Michael Rasmussen from the Tour de France. Joseph Cassani
Joseph Cassani (also spelt Casani, 26 November 1673 – 1750) was a Spanish Catholic historian. Cassani was born in Madrid in 1673, entered the Society of Jesus on 16 November 1686, was still in active service of priestly functions in 1745, and died in 1750. He was one of the founders of the ''Academia de la Lengua española'' (Academy of the Spanish Language) at Madrid, and published a ''Diccionario de la Lengua Catellana'' (Catalan dictionary) there in 1726–1730, in six volumes. He was a very prolific writer. Among his works may be noted ''Admirable vida, singulares virtudes etc. del extçtico Varon P.
