Cashmere Cat
Magnus August Høiberg (born 29 November 1987), known professionally as Cashmere Cat, is a Norwegian DJ, record producer, songwriter and musician. He is best known for producing songs for artists including Kanye West, The Kid Laroi, Selena Gomez, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, Major Lazer, Tory Lanez and The Weeknd, as well as his own critically acclaimed musical output. His debut EP, '' Mirror Maru'', was released in October 2012 and followed by the full length albums '' 9'', in 2017, and ''Princess Catgirl'', in 2019. Halden
Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. DMC World DJ Championships
DMC World DJ Championships is an annual DJ competition hosted by Disco Mix Club (DMC) which began in 1985. Championships were sponsored internationally by Technics (brand), Technics, but in 2010 Technics has been replaced by Serato and Rane Corporation, Rane. From 2011, the vinyl emulation software Serato Scratch Live can be used during the competition in addition to traditional vinyl. ''9'' (originally announced under the working title ''Wild Love'') is the debut studio album by Norwegian DJ and record producer Cashmere Cat, released on 28 April 2017, by Mad Love Records and Interscope Records. Background In 2012, Cashmere Cat released his debut extended play (EP) '' Mirror Maru'', followed by ''Wedding Bells'' two years later. During that time, he gained significant coverage and fellow musician Benny Blanco invited him to Los Angeles in January 2013 to collaborate on production and gave him his first concerts in the United States. Recording and production For his EP, the Norwegian producer employs a wide array of drum machines and unconventional sound effects, including autotuned bedsprings, in order to craft a background for melody. Major Lazer is an American electronic dance music DJ trio, which includes record producer Diplo, and DJs Walshy Fire and Ape Drums. It originates from Kingston, Jamaica, and was founded in 2008 by Diplo and Switch, with Switch leaving after three years in 2011. He was then replaced by both Jillionaire and Walshy Fire.
