Cascade Station
Cascade Station is a mixed-use development of a shopping center, office buildings, and hotels located in Northeast Portland, Oregon along Airport Way and I-205, near Portland International Airport. It features of office space, 1,200 hotel rooms and of retail space, on land. Cascade Station was proposed in 2001. Because of the timing of the project's announcement (September 10, 2001) and the recession that followed, the project stalled for several years and the streets built for it remained mostly empty. In 2005, IKEA signed on as the shopping center's first tenant giving the project the boost it needed for construction to begin. The IKEA store opened on July 25, 2007. MAX Red Line
The MAX Red Line is a light rail service in Portland, Oregon, United States, operated by TriMet as part of the MAX Light Rail system. An airport rail link, it runs from central Beaverton to Portland International Airport via Northeast Portland and Portland City Center. The Red Line serves 26 stations; it interlines with the Blue Line and partially with the Green Line from Beaverton Transit Center to Gateway/Northeast 99th Avenue Transit Center and then operates a segment through to Portland International Airport station. Service runs for 22 hours per day with a headway of 15 minutes during most of the day. The Red Line is the second-busiest service in the MAX system with an average 10,310 passengers per weekday in September 2021. Cascades (MAX Station)
Cascades is a light rail train station in the MAX Light Rail system. It is served by the Red Line and is located in Portland, Oregon; it is the third stop north on the Airport MAX section. When the line first opened, trains paused here in order to simulate a station stop for timetable purposes, but the stop was not announced nor were the doors opened.
