Carpark Records is an independent record label based in Washington, D.C. History Carpark Records was established by Todd Hyman in 1999 in New York City. In 2005, the label relocated to Washington, D.C. Carpark has subsidiary labels. Acute Records, established in 2002, reissues obscure post-punk records under the guidance of Dan Selzer. Paw Tracks, established in 2003, releases music by Animal Collective and associated solo acts Avey Tare and Panda Bear Wax Nine is another partner label. Company Records, an imprint of Carpark, was established in partnership with Chaz Bear from Toro Y Moi. In 2015, Carpark held a 16-year anniversary celebration accompanied by a basketball-themed picture disc compilation. Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) is a music distribution company owned by Warner Music Group, which represents the rights to various independent record labels. Madeline Kenney is an American indie rock singer-songwriter based in Oakland, California. Miguel Trost De Pedro (born July 27, 1979), better known by his stage name Kid606, is an electronic musician who was raised in San Diego and later moved to San Francisco. He is most closely associated with the glitch, IDM, hardcore techno and breakcore scenes. Keith Fullerton Whitman (born May 29, 1973) is an American electronic musician who has recorded albums influenced by many genres, including ambient music, drill and bass, and krautrock. He records and performs using many aliases, of which the best-known is Hrvatski (the Croatian word for ''Croatian''). His works under the Hrvatski moniker mainly fell under the 'drill and bass' subgenre of IDM, and were his main musical outlet in the mid-to-late 1990s. Yoodoo Park, known by his stage name GRMLN, is a Japanese-American musician. Early life and career Park was born in Kyoto, Japan and raised in Southern California. Gregory Tyler Davis is an American electronic musician who has recorded albums drawing from a wide variety of sources, including guitar, field recording, various world/ethnic/traditional instruments, percussion, and voice, all processed through digital manipulation. After years of experience in hip-hop groups, jazz combos, free improvisation, and experimental composition, Davis moved toward computer-based music in 1997.
