Caroline Balderston Parry
Caroline Balderston Parry (1945 – Feb 11, 2022) was a Canadian writer, musician, performer, celebrator, and consultant. She was the author of ''Zoomerang a Boomerang'', ''Let's Celebrate Canada's Special Days'', which won a 1987-88 Toronto IODE Book Award, and ''Eleanora's Diary'', based on the 1830s diary of a Canadian immigrant girl, Eleanora Hallen. Caroline wrote, The Heron Spirals, A Commonplace Book, reflecting on 15 years after the death of her husband David Parry (folk musician), David Parry. Caroline was a member of the Writers' Union of Canada. Caroline shared her love of language through haiku, such as her Speaking truth and poems like Goshen Friends Meeting. She was a Quaker and wrote for a number of Quaker publications. She was also a Unitarianism, Unitarian and a professional religious educator. David Parry (folk Musician)
David Parry (18 June 1942 - 13 June 1995) was a Canadian folk musician, Storytelling, storyteller, actor, stage director, and teacher. He was an important presence in the Canadian folk music scene from the mid-1970s up until his death in 1995. He worked both as a solo artist and as a member of the Friends of Fiddler's Green, a ceilidh band based in Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Catriona Sturton
Catriona Sturton (born June 8, 1976) is an Ottawa, Ontario–based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She has had a prolific career, performing in bands such as Plumtree and collaborating with artists like Joel Plaskett, Al Tuck, the late Dutchy Mason, the Mighty Popo and members of Sloan and Blue Rodeo. History Sturton got her start at an early age when her parents put her into classical violin lessons for eight years. In her teens, while shopping for some fiddle music, she saw a harmonica and bought it. This led to a passion for the Blues, and she quickly acquired proficiency with the instrument.
