Carol White
Carole Joan White (1 April 1943 – 16 September 1991) was an English actress. She achieved a public profile with her performances in the television play ''Cathy Come Home'' (1966) and the films ''Poor Cow'' (1967) and '' I'll Never Forget What's 'isname'' (1967), but alcoholism and drug abuse damaged her career, and from the early 1970s she worked infrequently. Life and career White, the daughter of a scrap merchant, was born in Hammersmith, London, and attended the Corona Stage Academy. Hammersmith is a district of West London, England, southwest of Charing Cross. It is the administrative centre of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London. Kenneth Charles Loach (born 17 June 1936) is a British film director and screenwriter. Bernard Malamud (April 26, 1914 – March 18, 1986) was an American novelist and short story writer. Along with Saul Bellow, Joseph Heller, and Philip Roth, he was one of the best known American Jewish authors of the 20th century.
