Carol Anne Franziska Antonia Pilars de Pilar (born 6 August 1961 in Bad Godesberg) is a German artist. She is the daughter of Josef Pilars de Pilar and his French wife Béatrice Lamotte d'Argy. Bad Godesberg ( ksh, Bad Jodesbersch) is a borough ('' Stadtbezirk'') of Bonn, southern North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Ladislaus Baron Pilars de Pilar ( pl, Władysław Pilars de Pilar, Opatówek, 3 March 1874 - Chorzów, 22 November 1952) was a Polish poet, historian, entrepreneur and a literature professor at the University of Warsaw. Biography He was a son of Edward Gustaw Pilars (born in Opatówek in 1834, died in 1905), an accountant in Adolf Gottlieb Fiedler's cloth factory, and Ewa Grzankowska. He was of Spanish origin and , Zaragoza. Ladislaus married Antonia Freiin von Oer (1872–1946), who was a court lady of the princess of Mecklenburg - Antoinette, Tsar Nicholas II's cousin. Antonia Oer's father, Friedrich Reichsfreiherr von Oer, was chamberlain of prince Charles II. Isenburg-Birstein (1838–1899). Ladislaus and Antonia had three children: Eduard, Antoinette and Gabriel. Andreas Gursky (born 15 January 1955) is a German photographer and professor at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany. He is known for his Large format (photography), large format architecture and Landscape photography, landscape colour photographs, often using a high point of view.
