Carol Padilla
Carol Bealexis Padilla Reyes de Arretureta (born 19 February 1972) is a Venezuelan judge currently serving at the First Special Court of First Instance in Control Functions and a substitute judge of the Court of Appeals of the criminal judicial circuit of Caracas. She is known for issuing arrest warrants against National Assembly deputies Julio Borges and Juan Requesens in 2018, and being involved in the March 2019 arrest of Roberto Marrero, Guaido's chief of staff. According to National Assembly deputy Julio Borges, Padilla is the right-hand man of the president of the National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello. Juan Gerardo Guaidó Márquez (born 28 July 1983) is a Venezuelan politician, a former member of the Social democracy, social-democratic Popular Will party, and federal deputy to the National Assembly (Venezuela), National Assembly representing the state of Vargas (state), Vargas. On 4 August 2018, two drones detonated explosives near Avenida Bolívar, Caracas, where Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venezuela, was addressing the Bolivarian National Guard in front of the Centro Simón Bolívar Towers and Palacio de Justicia de Caracas. The National Assembly ( es, Asamblea Nacional) is the legislature for Venezuela that was first elected in 2000. It is a unicameral body made up of a variable number of members, who were elected by a "universal, direct, personal, and secret" vote partly by direct election in state-based voting districts, and partly on a state-based party-list proportional representation system. The number of seats is constant, each state and the Capital district elected three representatives plus the result of dividing the state population by 1.1% of the total population of the country.
