Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. It has at least 10 million native speakers, the fourth most spoken Germanic language and the first among any other of its type in the Nordic countries overall. Swedish, like the other Nordic languages, is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. Thomas Clas-Göran Carlsson (born 1962) is a Swedish politician and former member of the Riksdag, the national legislature. A member of the Social Democratic Party, he represented Kronoberg County between October 2010 and September 2014. Márcio Carlsson (born 24 January 1975) is a former professional tennis player from Brazil. Career Carlsson was a member of the Brazilian team which won the Sunshine Cup in 1993, which was their first title since 1958. He and Gustavo Kuerten won the deciding doubles rubber over the Chilean pairing of Marcelo Rios and Robinson Gamonal. Earlier in the year, Carlsson had partnered Rios in the 1993 French Open, French Open boys' doubles event and the pair made the semi-finals. This helped Carlsson finish the season ranked sixth in the world junior doubles rankings. Leo Carlsson (born 26 December 2004) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted second overall by the Ducks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Kent Carlsson (born 3 January 1968) is a former tennis player from Sweden. A seasoned claycourter, he won all nine of his ATP tour singles titles on the surface, including the 1988 Hamburg Masters. Carlsson achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 6 in September 1988. Johan Carlsson (born 29 January 1966) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. Career Carlsson reached his first and only final on tour in the 1986 Japan Open, finishing runner-up. His previous best performance had come at the same tournament a year earlier, when he made the semi-finals. Ingvar Carlsson
Gösta Ingvar Carlsson (born 9 November 1934) is a Swedish politician who twice served as Prime Minister of Sweden, first from 1986 to 1991 and again from 1994 to 1996.
