Carlos Rivas (footballer, Born 1953)
Carlos Humberto Rivas Torres (born 24 May 1953) is a Chilean retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Rivas was a midfielder for Colo-Colo in 136 official games over five seasons, and he scored 40 goals during that time. "Idolos: Mediocampistas: Carlos Rivas," ''Colo-Colo Sitio Oficial'', While he was on the team, the team won two national championships (1979 and 1981) and two ''Polla Gol'' championships (1981 and 1982). In 1983, he played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League with Edmonton Eagles. The remainder of the 1983 season he played in the National Soccer League with Dinamo Latino, and played once more with the club during the 1985 season. Rivas served as an assistant under Dave Turner in 1986, but still performed as a player for the Toronto Blizzard in the National Soccer League. Chimbarongo, Chile, is a city and commune located south of Santiago in the Colchagua Province of the O'Higgins Region. York Region Shooters is a Canadian soccer team, that plays in the Canadian Soccer League. The Shooters played their home games at the St. Joan of Arc Turf Field in the City of Vaughan, Ontario. The team's colours were blue and white, mirroring those of the Italy national football team and reflecting the cultural heritage of the club. Detroit Wheels were a United States soccer team based in Detroit, Michigan, that played in the USISL for two seasons. Owned by Antonio Soave and Greg Reynolds, the team was established in 1994. A bench-clearing brawl is a form of fighting that occurs in sports, most notably baseball and ice hockey, in which most or all players on both teams leave their dugouts, bullpens, or benches, and charge onto the playing area in order to fight one another or try to break up a fight. Penalties for leaving the bench can range from nothing to severe. Baseball In baseball, brawls are usually the result of escalating infractions or indignities, often stemming from a batter being hit by a pitch, especially if the batter then charges the mound. David John Turner (born 7 September 1943) is an English former professional footballer who made more than 300 appearances in the Football League playing as a wing half or midfielder for Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Blackburn Rovers. Life and career Turner was born in Retford, Nottinghamshire. He played schools football for his county, and joined Newcastle United straight from school. He turned professional in 1960, and was a member of the team that won the 1961–62 FA Youth Cup. He made his first-team debut on the last day of the 1961–62 Football League season, a 3–0 defeat at home to Leeds United in the Second Division, and appeared twice more before moving on to Brighton & Hove Albion in December 1963 for a £4,500 fee. Nacional Latino was a soccer club based in Toronto, Ontario. The club played in the National Soccer League (NSL) in 1982 originally under the name Dinamo Latino. In 1985, the ownership of the Toronto Blizzard purchased Dinamo's franchise rights, and competed in the NSL until the 1986 season. In 1987, the Blizzard joined the Canadian Soccer League, and the previous ownership retained control of the club under the name Nacional Latino.
