Carlos Flores Ascencio
Carlos Alberto Flores Ascencio (born 10 August 1978) is a Peruvian footballer who plays as a centre back. He plays for Cobresol in the Torneo Descentralizado. Club career Flores started his career with Deportivo Pesquero in 1999. That season he made his top-flight debut in the Torneo Descentralizado. Later in 2003 he had spell with Estudiantes de Medicina in the 2003 season. There he played alongside his brother Juan "Chiquito" Flores. Then in 2006 he played in the Copa Perú division with Deportivo Ingeniería and then the next season with Tarapacá de Huánuco. The following seasons he would have spells with Sport Águila and Sport Huancayo Club Sport Huancayo is a Peruvian football club based in Huancayo, Junín. 2010 Torneo Descentralizado
The 2010 Torneo Descentralizado de Fútbol Profesional (known as the 2010 Copa Cable Mágico for sponsorship reasons) was the ninety-fourth season of Association Peruvian football. A total of 16 teams competed in the tournament, with Universitario de Deportes as the defending champion. The season began on February and concluded on December 12 with the victory of Universidad San Martín over León de Huánuco in the second leg of the final Play-off, giving Universidad San Martín its third Peruvian title. Competition modus The season was divided into 3 stages. In the first stage the 16 teams played a round-robin home-and-away round for a total of 30 matches each. The Copa Perú is a football tournament in Peru. Despite its name, it is not entirely an elimination-cup competition involving all Peruvian clubs, but rather a series of league tournaments leading to an elimination tournament, with regional league clubs as participants. It guarantees its winner promotion to the professional Liga 2. History In 1966, the First Division was named '' Descentralizado''; teams from outside the capital of Lima were allowed to participate in the professional first division. The following year, the Copa Perú began, in which all non-professional teams in Peru were allowed to compete, with the winner to gain promotion to the First Division. The 2003 Torneo Descentralizado (known as the Copa Cable Mágico for sponsorship reasons) was the eighty-seventh season of top-flight Peruvian football. A total of 12 teams competed in the tournament, with Sporting Cristal as the defending champion. Alianza Lima won its twentieth Primera División title after beating Sporting Cristal in the final playoff. Changes from 2002 Structural changes Starting in the 2003 season, half-year champions had to finish in the top six of each tournament to dispute the national title instead of the top four.
