Carlo Antonio Bussi
Carlo Antonio Bussi (1658 – 15 July 1690) was a Switzerland, Swiss Painting, painter. Bussi was born in Bissone. He primarily painted church interiors. In 1682 he married Margarete, the daughter of another Swiss painter Carpoforo Tencalla. After his father-in-law's death in 1685, Bussi completed some of Tencalla's projects. Bussi died in Vöcklabruck in 1690. Bissone
Bissone is a municipality in the district of Lugano, in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. History Bissone is first mentioned in 735 and again in 854 as ''Blixuni''. In German it was known as ''Byssen'', though that name is no longer used. In the 8th Century it was home to a Lombard garrison and supported the fortresses in Campione d'Italia, Arogno and Brusino Arsizio. Starting in the 9th Century, the monastery of S. Ambrogio in Milan owned property in Bissone. The parish church of St. Carpoforo, became partly independent in 1474 from the mother church at Riva San Vitale. Carpoforo Tencalla
Carpoforo Tencalla (or Tencala) (10 September 1623 - 9 March 1685) was an influential Swiss-Italian Baroque painter of canvases and frescoes. He is little studied and has come only recently to the attention of art critics and historians. He introduced 17th-century Italian painting style with its mythological subjects to Central Europe, reviving the art of fresco on large surfaces. Biography Tencalla was born in Bissone in southern Switzerland. He began his apprenticeship in Lombardy, probably in Milan, Bergamo and Verona, possibly under Isidoro Bianchi, who was related to his mother. Other potential mentoring figures include Giovanni Stefano Danedi (1608–1689), Giuseppe Danedi (1609-1680) and Carlo Francesco Nuvolone (1609-1702). Vöcklabruck () is the administrative center of the Vöcklabruck district, Austria. It is located in the western part of Upper Austria, close to the A1 Autobahn as well as the B1 highway.
