Dansoman
Dansoman is a suburban town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, located near Accra and Takoradi district of the Accra Metropolitan Area. The town is known for being one of the largest estates in West Africa. History The town was founded by the late Nii Kojo Danso I in the late 1960s. Liberty Professionals Football Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Dansoman, Accra. History Liberty Professionals, was founded in 1996 by Accra-based businessmen Felix Ansong and Alhaji Sly Tetteh. The club was one of the earliest in Ghana to adopt a professional approach to the management of a football club. The club started their first season in the Poly Tank Division One League, but were promoted to the Ghana Telecom Premier League within their second season in 1998. Carl Christian Reindorf
Carl Christian Reindorf (31 May 1834 – 1 July 1917) was a Euro-African-born pioneer historian, teacher, farmer, trader, physician and pastor who worked with the Basel Mission on the Gold Coast. He wrote '' The History of the Gold Coast and Asante'' in the Ga language; scholars consider the book a “culturally important” work and an increasingly important source for Ghanaian history. The work was later translated into English and published in 1895 in Switzerland. He used written sources and oral tradition, interviewing more than 200 people in the course of assembling his history.
