Carl Johnson (American Football)
Carl Knud Johnson (born December 26, 1949) is a former American football offensive lineman who played two seasons with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Saints in the fifth round of the 1972 NFL Draft. He first enrolled at Phoenix Junior College before transferring to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Johnson attended South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Carl Johnson (September 18, 1892 – February 15, 1970) was a U.S. soccer midfielder. He was the first U.S. player from Chicago to play for the national team. Johnson earned two caps with the U.S. national team. His first came at the 1924 Summer Olympics when he played in the U.S. loss to Uruguay in the quarterfinals. Following the tournament, the U.S. had two exhibition games. Johnson played in the first, a 3–2 win over Poland. Johnson played with the Chicago Swedish-Americans. Carl Johnson (''Carl Edward Johnson;'' May 21, 1898 – September 13, 1932) was an American athlete who competed mainly in the long jump. He competed for the United States in the 1920 Summer Olympics held in Antwerp, Belgium in the long jump, where he won the silver medal. Early life Johnson was born in Genesee County, Michigan, but moved to Spokane, Washington, as a child. In 1915, as a Spokane high school student, he competed as an individual in the National Interscholastics, and finished second in the team competition. He returned to Michigan in 1916 to enroll at the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the track team from 1918 to 1920 and became one of the greatest track and field athletes in the university's history. Carl "CJ" Johnson is a Character (arts), fictional character and the Player character, playable protagonist of the 2004 video game ''Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'', the fifth main installment in Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto, ''Grand Theft Auto'' series. He is voiced by Young Maylay, who also served as the likeness for the character. In the game's storyline, Carl is depicted as the underboss of the Grove Street Families, a fictional street gang based in his home city of Los Santos, San Andreas (a fictional parody of Los Angeles, California). The gang is led by his older brother, "Sweet" Johnson, with whom Carl became estranged after the death of their younger brother, Brian, in a gang-related attack prior to the events of the game.
