Carl Donnelly
Carl Donnelly (born 13 January 1982 in Tooting, south London) is a British stand-up, dancer, comedian, and writer. He turned vegan in 2013, and has since become an ambassador for Veganuary. He has talked about being vegan extensively in his act. Stand-up career Donnelly has appeared on radio in BBC Radio 4's '' 28 Acts in 28 Minutes'', LBC's ''Comedy Cabaret'' and Tim Shaw's ''The Asylum'' on Kerrang! Radio. He has appeared on TV in Mock the Week, Russell Howard's Good News, Stand Up Central, and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled. Latitude Festival
The Latitude Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Henham Park, near Southwold, Suffolk, England. It was first held in July 2006 and has been held every year since, apart from 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the festival went ahead as part of the government's live event pilot scheme, and was the UK's first full-capacity festival since 2019. The festival presents musicians, bands and artists across four stages - the Obelisk Arena, the BBC Sounds Stage, the Sunrise Arena and the Alcove. The festival also includes theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature. The festival is run by Festival Republic (formerly the Mean Fiddler Group), which also runs the Reading and Leeds festivals. Mock The Week
''Mock the Week'' is a British topical satirical celebrity panel show, created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson. It was produced by Angst Productions for BBC Two, and was broadcast from 5 June 2005 to 4 November 2022. The programme was presented by Dara Ó Briain and featured regular appearances by comedian Hugh Dennis, as well as guest appearances by a variety of stand-up comedians, some of whom had regular appearances in several series. Edinburgh Comedy Awards
The Dave (TV channel), Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Awards (formerly the Perrier Comedy Awards, and also briefly known by other names for sponsorship reasons) are presented to the comedy shows deemed to have been the best at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. Established in 1981, they are the most prestigious comedy prize in the United Kingdom. The awards have been directed and produced by Nica Burns since 1984. The Chortle Awards were set up in 2002 by the comedy website Chortle to honour the best of established stand-up comics currently working in the UK. Laughing Horse
Laughing Horse is a British comedy promotion company and venue operator. The company was established in the UK in 1998, and now operates venues in Aldershot, Brighton, Cirencester, Hitchin, London (Brixton, Covent Garden, Lancaster Gate, Paddington), Manchester, St Neots, Thetford and Wyboston. They run three venues at Brighton Fringe, seventeen at Edinburgh Fringe and also have a presence at the Perth Fringe World, Perth, Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide and Melbourne Fringes. It is run by Alex Petty and Kevin McCarron. At Edinburgh, they have run the Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2004. At these shows, audiences do not have to buy tickets. Chris Martin (comedian)
Chris Martin (born 8 June 1986 in London) is an English stand-up comedian and writer. He currently lives and works in America with his wife, writing on The Late Late Show. Stand-up career Martin began his comedy career in 2005. After reaching the finals of both Chortle Student Comedian of the Year and Amused Moose Laugh off competitions Martin went on to appear in a series of Edinburgh shows, including ''AAA'' at The Pleasance Courtyard. ''Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled '' is a British television programme that was first broadcast on Dave and hosted by comedian Alan Davies. In each episode Davies holds an unscripted roundtable discussion with four guests. The guests include stand-up comedians, comedy writers and other well-known figures in the entertainment industry. Each episode begins untitled, hence the series name, but a title is chosen at the conclusion of the episode, often a full or paraphrased quote from one of the guest's anecdotes.
