Cariacica
Cariacica is a municipality in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, part of the Greater Vitória metropolitan area. Location Cariacica is located 10 km northwest of Vitória, the capital of the state. It has a population of 383,917 (2020) and forms part of the Greater Vitória metropolitan area. The municipality contains the Duas Bocas Biological Reserve, created in 1991 to protect part of the water supply. History Before the arrival of the colonists to this area, Tupiniquim Indians made this area their home. The name "Cariacica" comes from their language, meaning "the arrival of white men". Cariacica was created as a district of Vitória on 18 December 1837. Its full name as it was given by the Catholic Church is "Freguesia de São João Batista de Cariacica", after Saint John the Baptist, the patron saint of the town. Estádio Kléber Andrade
Estádio Estadual Kléber José de Andrade, also known as Estádio Kléber Andrade, is a football stadium located in Cariacica, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The stadium was built in 1983 and is able to hold 21,152 people. Estádio Kléber Andrade is owned by the Espírito Santo State Government. The stadium is named after Kléber José de Andrade, who was the president of Rio Branco AC, almost 40 time state champions of Espírito Santo, during the stadium construction. Duas Bocas Biological Reserve
The Duas Bocas Biological Reserve ( pt, Reserva Biológica de Duas Bocas) is a biological reserve in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. It protects an area of Atlantic Forest, the source of a drinking water supply. Location The Duas Bocas Biological Reserve is in the municipality of Cariacica, Espírito Santo. It has an approximate area of . The reserve contains the Duas Bocas Dam, inaugurated by President Getúlio Vargas, which impounds the Pau Amarelo, Panela and Naia-Assú rivers. It is part of the Duas Bocas - Mestre Álvaro Ecological Corridor. The main activities are school visits and scientific research. Greater Vitória
Greater Vitória (''Região Metropolitana da Grande Vitória'') is a metropolitan area in Espírito Santo, Brazil. It is made up of the following municipalities: Cariacica, Fundão, Guarapari, Serra, Vitória, Vila Velha, and Viana and according to IBGE it covers an area of 2,331.01 km2 with 1,627,651 inhabitants (2005). Isabel is a district of the municipality of Domingos Martins, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. Situated 3 km from the capital of that municipality, of same name. History The area, first known as Santa Isabel Colony, was the first centre for colonization started under the auspices of Luiz Pereira do Couto Ferraz, then president of the province of Espírito Santo (now state).
